Between the end of June and July, the Italian Radicals, the founding political movement of the TRP, organised the visit to Italy of Kok Ksor, the President of the Montagnard Foundation and member of TRP's General Council.Kok Ksor was officially welcomed by, among other people, the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Hon. Pierferdinando Casini, by the President of the Senate, Hon. Marcello Pera, by the President of the Parliamentary Commission for Foreign Affairs Hon. Gustavo Selva, by the President of the Lombard Region (the most populated Region in Italy), Hon. Roberto Formigoni and by the Councillor for Culture for the Piedmont Region, Giampiero Leo.
A few dozen Italian Members of Parliament signed a parliamentary Motion to denounce violations of human rights in Vietnam against the Montagnard people and all Vietnamese citizens. The Motion will be presented to the Italian Parliament in the coming weeks. There were two other public events during Kok Ksor's visit:

1. the projection for the first time in Italy of a video-documentary on the Monagnard people's history and struggle for freedom (a copy of the video in VHS can be purchased by making a request to the Radical party, telephoning 06/689791).

2. the launch of the "Radio Montagnard" initiative on 6 July, on the part of Radio Radicale, which provides for the financing of radio transmissions on short-wave in the Central Highlands of Vietnam, put together directly by the Montagnard Foundation. This initiative seeks to provide knowledge and information for the thousands of Montagnard people who live in the central highlands and in this way to oppose the violence perpetrated by the Vietnamese regime with the power of truth and of non-violence.
